1969 Mag: 6 Digit B-5750 NIXIE Tube Clock TTL Logic

1969 Electronics Magazine Nixie Clocks This historic issue contains one of only a very few articles ever published on building a digital clock with a Nixie tube display. (Despite their widespread use at the time, Nixies were far too expensive for your garden-variety tabletop clock – $250 for a six-digit timepiece according to the article, or roughly $1200 in today’s currency.) Built around the B-5750, the clock uses standard TTL parts (7470, 7490, 7441) and derives its timing from the 60Hz mains. Included are a complete schematic, parts list, and vector board layout. Elsewhere in this issue is a tutorial on early digital logic families, including RTL (resistor-transistor logic), RCTL (resistor-capacitor-transistor logic), DCTL (direct-coupled transistor logic), and DTL (diode-transistor logic). Apart from some minor cover wear, the magazine is in excellent condition. This item ships WORLDWIDE.
